Description:

This model allows you to explore the anatomy of the Asian elephant. The Asian elephant is one of three living elephant species. This species lives in different parts of southern Asia. Researchers distinguish three different subspecies: the Indian elephant, the Sumatran elephant, and the Sri Lankan elephant. The Asian elephant species has an incredibly large body, thick legs and a long trunk. Unlike African elephants, they have relatively short ears. Their skin is gray and thick. Male elephants have tusks, while females usually don't.
