Translocation in plants - the movement of organic substances from photosynthetic organs, such as leaves to roots. In vascular plants, these organic products are transferred from the main organs of photosynthesis - leaves - to all other parts of the plant on the floem. Floem consists of sieve elements, satellite cells, parenchyma, fibers and scleriaid.
