Dean is a plateau in India on the Indian Peninsula. Located in the inside of the peninsula, limited from the north of the Narmada River, from the south of the Kuveri River. It covers an area of about 1 million km². The surface is mainly tilted to the east, in connection with which most rivers flow into the east and fall into the Bengal bay. North of the plateau is located Indo-Gangskaya Plain.
