Description:

This model demonstrates the structure of a lichen. Lichens (lat. Lichenes) - mycobionts, symbiotic associations of fungi and microscopic green algae and (or) cyanobacteria (photobiont, or phycobiont); mycobionts form a thallus (thallus), inside which the cells of the photobiont are located. The group numbers over 26,000 species. Lichens are colored in a wide range of colors: from white to bright yellow, brown, lilac, orange, pink, green, blue, gray, black. The body of lichens (thallus) is an interweaving of fungal hyphae, between which there is a population of photobiont.
