Description:

This model demonstrates the structure of the erythrocyte. Red blood cells are red blood cells, blood cells that are saturated with oxygen in the lungs and carry it around the body of the animal. The cytoplasm of erythrocytes is rich in hemoglobin - a red pigment containing a bivalent iron atom, which is capable of binding oxygen and gives red blood cells a red color. Red blood cells contain approximately 300 million hemoglobin molecules.
