Antigen

The antigen is any substance that the body considers as an alien or potentially dangerous and against which the body usually begins to produce its own antibodies (immune response). Usually, proteins are used as antigens, but simple substances, even metals, can also become antigens in combination with their own proteins of the organism and their modifications.
